Belize's most modern bus company, Floralia has a new and very lucrative run. It comes after Ritchie's Bus Service, a line that has become almost synonymous with the Placencia Peninsula was told that their long-standing permit wouldn't be renewed.

And last week Ritchie's attorney, Orson Elrington applied for leave for judicial review of the Department of Transport's decision.

But in the meantime, Floralia has been granted the exclusive right to transport passengers to and from the Placencia peninsula three times a day. Those runs leave Placencia Village at 6:00 AM, and 2:45 PM respectively and travel to Belize City by 11:00 AM and 7:45 PM respectively, travelling through both Dangriga and Belize City.

Another run leaves Belize City at 7:45 AM and arrives in Placencia village by 12:45, having passed first through Belmopan and Dangriga.
