The streets have been relatively calm since the death of LIU chairman, William Dawson, and the police department and the Ministry of Home Affairs want to keep it that way. Today, they had a meeting with stakeholders including the DYS, educators, parents, and street figures to chart the way forward. The Commissioner of Police explained that this was a continuation of the programs they had already started, and a reassurance to the gang ridden communities that even though Dawson has passed, the work will go on.
