Today, The Ministry of Economic Development held an opening ceremony for the improved Nago Bank Collection Center. The solar-powered collection center will serve the community as a hurricane shelter and a storage unit for the robust farming community. Dr. Victoriano Pascual, Chief Agricultural Officer for the Ministry of Agriculture, shared more in his remarks.

"This collection center will help the farmers in this area to bring their produce to this particular area having it being use like a mini center where everybody can bring their produce. You can sort, you can pack, you can store - all the buyers can come to this area. So that is a great help and a great plus to this cooperative."
The funding for the rehabilitation of the building came from the Green Climate Fund, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, and GOB.
