Belize's most wanted men, Leslie Pipersburgh and Patrick Robateau are fugitives no more. The pair, accused of a murder and robbery spree in Belize City, are in detention in Mexico City tonight. They were caught by Mexican immigration personnel in Tijuana Mexico, a border town connecting to the United States. Confirmed information to Seven News is that the pair had flown form Cancun to Tijuana under false names, but were picked up by immigration when they landed. Leslie Pipersburgh was traveling under the name Lance Gabourel while Patrick Robateau, who has the initial P.R. tattooed on his arm, was under the name Rodwell Robateau. It is not known if they had obtained documents under these names, but Mexican immigration was on the alert because "wanted" posters had been sent to them from Belize. But even with that, the connection didn't become clear until sometime after and Belize police found out about the interception some days after. That was confirmed this week after they were interviewed by representatives from the Belizean Embassy in Mexico. A police officer was today dispatched to Mexico City to finalize arrangements to have them transferred. They will reportedly be flown into Belize - or possibly Chetumal. That could happen within the next two days, according to Commissioner of Police Jose Carmen Zetina. As for the 12 thousand dollar bounty offered for their apprehension only, it has not been decided if that will go to the Mexican authorities.
