The woes and worries for interdicted police superintendent Ewart Itza are less tonight after charges against him were withdrawn.

On Wednesday, Yvonne Avilez Samuels appeared in magistrate's court and asked that all charges against Itza be dropped. With that, the charges of burglary, damage to property, mischievous act, annoying entry and disorderly conduct were then dropped. But Itza is still to answer to charges of using obscene language and failure to provide a urine sample.

Itza had been charged after allegations were made that he forcefully entered the home of the complainant, his common law wife, on April 11 and allegedly stole $100 and cursed out some police officers who responded to the call.
