Teenage Girl Escapes Knife-man

A 14-year-old girl is recovering from stab wounds she received from a intruder who broke into her Caye Caulker home.

The girl told police she was home alone around 1 on Sunday morning when a man who she knows knocked on her door. He asked her go to with him and when she refused the girl claims she was held at knifepoint.

Police further report that the girl started to scream and that's when she was stabbed. The suspect fled and the 14-year-old girl was treated and released from the KHMH for those stab wounds. Police are tonight seeking that suspect who they believe has already fled the island.
