Tonight police say disciplinary charges are pending against two officers who were on duty during an attack on murder suspect Jermaine Pascascio while at the Queen Street Police Station.

Police say they are investigating the incident or are at least trying but are not receiving cooperation from either the victim or the other prisoners who were in the holding cell.

Pascascio who is charged for the murder of shopkeeper Inez Leal was stabbed 15 times during the lunch hour attack. He was in Belize City yesterday for a court appearance on those murder charges but he never made it.

In light of yesterday's stabbing, a police release says that top cop Commissioner Jose Zetina has ordered a full review of security procedures. Pascascio's family blames police for forcing the young man into a position where he was thought to be a snitch.
