The DPP's office has re-instated murder charges against Fabian Bain also known as Carlos Escalante.
The 25 year old was originally charged along with Mark "t-dog" Stuart for the gunning down Dean Belisle in his yard on July 14, 2003. After being remanded for the crime, "T-dog" was killed in prison, after he was shot over 20 times at close range by prison guards. That was in October and since then the case had been thrown out at the Magistrate's court level leaving Fabian Bain clear of charges.
But last week, the DPP's office re-introduced those murder charges. On Thursday he was arraigned on a charge of murder and Bain was remanded to the Hattieville prison until July 23.
