Frank Eligio Jailed For Belize Bank Robbery

Police have charged one man for the Belize Bank armed robbery a week ago.

As 7NEWS first reported, late yesterday evening 24 year old Frank Eligio was taken before Magistrate Earl Jones where he was charged for abetment to robbery. Eligio pleaded not guilty, but was remanded until May 18.

Police have connected Eligio to the robbery because he allegedly provided the getaway vehicle; specifically a Ford Taurus that police found last week.

Eligio has had a number of run-ins with the law and has a long rap sheet.
