Sittee River Village Joins Fight Against Crime

In an uncommon show of community spirit, residents down in the Southern village of Sittee river have taken the police up on that long standing offer of a partnership.

Village residents put their dollars where they safety is and paid the bill for a brand new Yamaha motorcycle. The cycle was handed over yesterday to Commissioner of Police Jose Zetina and Deputy Home Affairs Minister Rodwell Ferguson by the village's neighborhood watch committee.

The cycle will be used by Police Constable Marvin Salaam who is assigned to Sittee River Village.
