A 21 year old woman was shot last night- and she says it's for no reason at all. Sometime around 11:15 police responded to a call of a shooting incident at an address on Marigold Lane. Investigations by police came up with 21 year old Karima Roberson who had received a single gunshot to the leg. We found Roberson recovering today at the KHMH. She says she remembers very little of what happened, only that she was returning home from work and was surprised by the attack:
Karima Roberson – Shooting Victim
"I was coming from work to go home. I stop to get off my bike to go in the yard. I just hear it but when I heard it I did not know that it was me so I continued to walk in the yard. When I get in my yard then my foot started to shake that was when I knew I was shot. I am not a person who goes out I go from work to home. I just think maybe it is the wrong person."
Roberson says that the bullet entered her leg but it did not exit and now hopes that doctors will remove it. Meanwhile police are looking for the shooter.
