Gunshots in the city last night left a 24-year-old man with injuries to his left leg. The victim is Glenn Swazo and though police say he uncooperative, he did tell them that last night he was standing in front of his home when a man riding by on a bicycle fired several shots at him. Two of the bullets caught him in the left leg above the knee. Swazo who is recovering in the KHMH says he doesn't know who shot him or why - a story which investigators have taken to mean that he knows but does not want to cooperate
Elsewhere in the city, while no one was injured and no shots were fired, a gun was held to the head of a Chinese businessman while he was robbed. Hung Wai Chan says he was in Ah Kong restaurant at the corner of Cemetery Road and Lakeview streets when too men entered. One of them pulled out a 9-millimeter handgun, and pointed it in his face while the other raided the cash draw of cash and phone cards. Both fled and police are investigating. Anyone with information on either incident is asked to call the 922 crimestoppers hotline where a cash reward is offered for information leading to an arrest.
