And while police have Guerra for that killing, San Ignacio police have a 16-year-old minor detained for another killing. At around 10:30 on Saturday night, 17-year-old Levi Quewell and his younger brother were at the San Ignacio, Santa Elena Municipal fair when they were attacked by two other young men from their home village of Santa Familia in the Cayo District. Today Quewell's father Valeriano told us that his sons were attacked for no reason.
Valeriano Quewell, Father
"My son told me that he was just standing at the fair near the small car rides, on the front. The two brothers were together, my two sons, and then two brothers passed close to him and he stamp(stabbed) him with the knife. The next brother turned to my next small son and then he had the machete and he wanted to chop my next son. My next son had to run and then from there my son run and my next small son he said he was running to the back, because he wanted to see where he went because he was bloody, and then when he heard his brother called him. When he went and saw it, he saw that he was dropping; just dropping."
Alfonso Noble,
So but you don't know the reason? Did they have a previous misunderstanding or a fight before or something like that? I know they had a fight with your brother.
Valeriano Quewell,
"Yes but they didn't have a fight with my son. My son they don't like to fight and that is why he just stood up and watched because he is not afraid and he doesn't have nothing, that's why he didn't run. But those boys came and stabbed him with the knife."
San Ignacio police expect to charge the 16 year old with murder shortly.
