Senior Citizen Murdered in Ontario Village

A senior citizen was brutally chopped to death on his farm in Cayo and no one seems to know why. He is 68 year old John Casey and around 7:30 this morning he was found dead on his farm in Ontario Village which is on the Western Highway between Belmopan and San Ignacio. Casey's younger brother found him in his yard bearing chop wounds to his head. Though he was 300 yards from his home, there was a pool of blood on his bed. So far investigators have been unable to determine a motive and robbery isn't apparent. Casey was last seen alive around 9 last night when he was watching television at a neighbor's house. His body is tonight at the Belmopan Hospital awaiting a post mortem. Police say they continue to investigate.
