Burglars Steal San Pedro Town Safe

They didn't just the break into the safe, they stole the entire safe and now five youths are in jail for burglarizing the San Pedro Town Board's Office. Police say that last Thursday night the youth's broke into the Board's office on Barrier Reef Drive and stole an iron chest. We don't know how much the safe weighed but we do know it contained about $3,000 in cash and other Board documents. Yesterday police arrested 20-year-old Alexander Edwards, 18-year-old Andres Arana, 19-year-old Gabriel Salazar, 19-year-old William Nunez, and a 16 year old minor. All 5 have been charged jointly with burglary. Police have recovered the documents from the safe but no luck with any of the cash. It is believed they gained access to the Town Board's office by picking a lock and then cracked open the safe at another location.
