Tonight 22-year-old Edwin Vanegas who escaped from police custody on Tuesday afternoon remains at large and police believe he might be making a run for the Western Border. Meanwhile the 5 other prisoners who escaped from the prison bus along with Vanegas appeared before a Magistrate this morning.
Robert Hill, Allan Perdomo, Manuel Williams, Michael Faux, and Carlton Lord Jr. were arraigned on a single charge each of escape. Hill, Perdomo, Williams, and Faux pleaded guilty to escape while Lord pleaded not guilty. In refusing to plead out the charge Lord told Magistrate Sharon Frazer that he turned himself into police and he in fact wasn't recaptured. Police though say that he was busted inside an abandoned house on Plues Street on Wednesday afternoon.
