Police say a 41-year-old cook employed at the Belize Biltmore Plaza Hotel stabbed 18-year-old Tiquan Emmanuel to death outside a nightclub on Friday night. Hubert Bennett was today arraigned on a charge of murder.

The murder allegedly happened on Saturday morning outside the International Player's Pub on Western Avenue. Tiquan's friends told 7NEWS yesterday that the argument was over a bicycle.

Bennett was denied bail and remanded to the Hattieville Prison until August 31st.
