Drunk Driver Charged for Knocking Down Girl

He was an allegedly drunk driver accused of knocking down a 7 year old girl in Belize City and then fleeing from the scene and now police have apprehended Ravel Cowo. The victim is Keisha Dennison who was walking on Mahogany Street near its corner with Mopan Street on Tuesday evening when she was knocked down by a white Mercedes Benz. Keisha was admitted to the hospital with injuries to her legs and arms while police put an all points bulletin for the driver. Cowo who lives in Santa Clara turned himself into Orange Walk and he is now in the custody of city police who have charged him with failure to report an accident, failure to stop and render aid, negligent grievous harm, driving without due care and attention, and operating a motor vehicle with alcohol concentration above the prescribed limit. As for Keisha she was treated for her injuries at the KHMH.
