Another Police Rape

Coming on the heels of the conviction of police constable Crispin Jefferies Jr. on rape charges, the police are reporting that yet another officer, a sergeant is accused of raping a woman and this time, it's a female constable and it all happened within police property.
7 news has learned that the woman constable had been working in Belize City but was recently transferred to Belmopan and had to commute daily.
But between the 19th and the 20th of last month she was assigned extra patrol duties and was unable to travel home. That's when Police sergeant #358 Leslie Wade told her she could stay with him at his residence at the Police Training School. On the first and second days she stayed at the house in a separate room, on the third day however she reportedly took up an offer to sleep in the same bed with the sergeant.
She says that sometime around 3 on the morning of the 20th she awoke to the sergeant having sex with her against her will. She reported the incident to a police corporal, who made a report to the commissioner, who then ordered an internal affairs investigation. A statement was taken from the woman constable in which she requested no court action.
Following this however she made a formal complaint in which she did request court action.
For this, the seargeant was today charged and taken to court on charges of rape.
Sergeant Wade who is married has since been placed on interdiction pending the outcome of the court hearing.
