Death on the Dance Floor in Belmopan

A Belmopan resident died suddenly this weekend after he spent the night, into morning, drinking and dancing. Police say 35-year-old Jose Angel Sanchez was with friends at the New Capital Restaurant in the early hours of Sunday morning, drinking heavily and dancing. Around 2 am witnesses say Sanchez took a break from the dance floor to have a seat and a short while later he collapsed. Sanchez was taken to the Belmopan Hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Tonight his body awaits a post mortem. Police note that there were no visible signs of violence on the body.
