4 men who had been charged for conspiracy to commit murder had their charges upgraded today in Magistrate's Court.

Gerald and Joseph Bishop, Darren Banks and a 16 year old appeared before Magistrate Henry Usher where they were read charges of murder. The men went to court from prison with their bags in hand because they thought they were going to be offered bail. But when they stepped into the court they were hit with the murder charge.

This stems from the killing of Sherwin Requena who was gunned down on Zacaranda Street in September. These four join two others, 21-year-old Evan Neal and a 17 year old who had originally been charged with Requena's murder.
