His job was to clean the kitchen at the Princess, but on Monday morning police say 22-year-old Alfred Conorque attempted to clean out the hotel's entire weekend sales. Police say Conorque is the man who robbed the hotel of $33,000 at gunpoint on Monday morning. Tonight, Conorque is in jail along with along with 21-year-old Leon Rodriquez and 24-year-old Callum Sutherland. All three have been charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
Police allege Conorque planned the robbery but more importantly he pulled off the heist himself. How did he do it? Well Monday was his day off, but hotel staff say he showed up anyway and was seen lingering around shortly before the robbery. Commander of C.I.B., Assistant Superintendent of Police Chester Williams says cooperation between the hotel and police led to the arrests.
ASP Chester Williams,
"The effort of the community, the Princess, and the police have contributed to where we are today. We managed to solve the Princess robbery, the second one in six months. While it was a difficult task, due to the way it was committed we managed to breakthrough based on information we gathered. This afternoon we formally arrested and charged three individuals; Alfred Conorque, Leon Rodriquez, and Cullum Sutherland. All three person were charged for the crime of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in relation to the Princess incident. I must note that Conorque was an employee oat the Princess Hotel up until the time the incident occurred. He was on a day-off on that day in particular and he has been identified as the person who actually went into the Princess and held up those persons who had the money at the time, relieving them of the money. During the investigations we also recovered $8,000 and we are still in the process of recovering of other money in relation to that crime."
Keith Swift,
You're saying that the masked man who went in there was at that time an employee

of the Princess?
ASP Chester Williams,
"Yes he was an employee at the Princess Hotel, that is Alfred Conorque. I really do not want to go back into Conroque's character at this time. I don't want to judge him before he's judged before a court of law so at this time, I won't say if he had a criminal background or if he didn't have one. However he is the prime suspect. He has been identified as the leader of the group which went to the Princess and he has been charged and has been arraigned before the court."
Victor Gomez, General Manager - Princess Hotel
"I'd like to thank the Police Department and the security at the Princess for a job well executed in capturing the culprits involved in the robbery on Monday. I'd like to say also the Princess Hotel continues to serve its customers with utmost quality and experience."
Keith Swift,
Has the Princess learnt its lesson because this guy worked here?
Victor Gomez,
"Of course we are working on that."
Police they are seeking one more suspect. This afternoon Conorque and his accomplices appeared before Magistrate Margaret Gabb-McKenzie. Bail was denied and they will reappear in court on March 2nd. Richard "Dickie" Bradley is representing Leon Rodrqiuez and he has indicated he will go to the Supreme Court to apply for bail before then. The Princess management says Conorque had been working at the hotel less than six months. Though they do a background check, they note that the application process for a job as a steward isn't rigorous.
