He wanted her purse but instead of that Eugene Conorque got a good old dose of "woman fum fum" yesterday morning when his prey turned predator on him. That prey was 30-year-old Rebekah Emmanuel and she says that around 10 am she was near the market on Hicatee Street when a man approached her from behind and demanded her purse. Emmanuel told Keith Swift that it even surprised her what she did next. And though she was brave in that battle, today she asked us not to show her face and she narrated its details.

Rebekah Emmanuel, Fought Off Attacker
"He just the tell me to give him the fing thing and I told him no, 'I won't give you anything' and after that he said if I didn't hear him say to give him and I told 'I won't fking give you,' and I just told him, because it was from back, and I ended up turning around and started to beat him.

Keith Swift,
You beat him?

Rebekah Emmanuel,
"Yeah I beat him, I beat him. I just put give up a fight and he was fighting back and I just continued fighting with him. When he saw that I wasn't going to give up, he took his bike and stoned me and I fell on the sidewalk and got knocked in my side and I just hollered for help and people just decide to help me and I got back my purse when the police come and assist me."

Keith Swift,
Why didn't you just give up?

Rebekah Emmanuel,
"Oh because it had my credit union book, social security card, my money, and my house key. "

Keith Swift,
You told me you didn't really realize what you did until afterwards.

Rebekah Emmanuel,
"Yes. I wasn't thinking and afterwards when I was finished, I was like 'oh my goodness, what did I just do.' A lot of people told me they proud of what I did because a lot of people would have ended up giving the things to them but I just said that I am not giving up my money because they have to learn to go to work."

We note that Emmanuel was later assisted by a second female and Sgt. Andres Mackin who was in the area at the time. The attacker has been identified as 28-year-old Eugene Conorque and he has been charged with attempted robbery, harm, and damage to property.
