And while Cayo police have been busy, the Crimes Intelligence Unit in Belize City has also made some major seizures. Police won't say exactly where they found them but today a CIU operation netted some deadly firepower from the city streets. They found an AR-15 rifle, and AK-47 assault rifle, a.22 caliber sniper rifle and a 9mm pistol with 2 magazines and 27 live rounds of 9 mm ammunition. All the guns were found concealed and no one was around.

Police say they are guarding the information surrounding the seizures closely and would not tell us very much about who the guns may be for or generally in what area they were found.
