A 12-year-old girl has been missing for a week now and family members say they have no idea where she is and why she left home. Chandone Lakshman says her daughter, 12-year-old Alicia Lakshman left home at around 8:30 on Monday night and has not been seen or heard from since. Today this desperate mother made her plea for the child's return.

Chandone Lakshman, Mother
"I was taking a shower and while I was taking my shower, then she just packed up herself and went."

Alfonso Noble,
Did you have an altercation with her, did you get into some type of argument with her for her to just pick up and leave?

Chandone Lakshman,
"No, no argument, just the evening she came home a little bit late from school and I scolded her and that was that, I let her take a bath. She went to bathe, drink her tea, changed her clothes and went into her bed and 8:30 I went to bathe and that was the last the I saw of my baby."

Alfonso Noble,
If she is seeing this what would you want to tell her?

Chandone Lakshman,
"Please come home. She has me worrying. I can't eat, sleep, I can't even drink a water because I am worrying about her. She is my oldest daughter and I still love her no matter what. I just want her to come home. If she is with anyone, they have to think about me too. She is still a baby. As you look in her face you can she is a baby. Send her home. She has a mom who loves her."
