A 74-year-old man is missing and tonight his family hopes that you might be able to help them locate him. Raymond Simon left his home in Vista Del Mar on Friday morning and he hasn't been seen by his family since. Raymond drove off in his gold 1998 Ford Taurus with license plate number C27554. His family notes that he has bouts of memory loss and was in possession of a considerable amount of money. His common-law wife Florence Martinez told us that she discovered he was missing on Friday evening when she returned from work. We also spoke to Raymond's stepson Tyrone Chimilio who vented about the Police Department's lack of interest in the matter.
Florence Martinez, Common-law Wife
"So when I got home Friday evening from work I didn't see the car and when I opened the door for the house, I knew that something was missing because he didn't even have breakfast, he didn't eat because I cooked that morning and the house was untouched. So I thought then that he was at friends or relatives in Sandhill but I called both friends and sisters and they haven't seen him.
He is 5'9" tall, dark, ball headed, slim built, and he was driving a Ford Tauras car and the license plate is C-27554. I am just appealing to the public that if they have seen him, to call my home number which is 225-2634 or my cell number which is 610-1328."
Tyrone Chimilio, Stepson
"I don't know what is the procedure really but from since we've made the report, the police are being lackadaisical. The Police Department is basically sitting down and if this is the way that we are going on, I think it is very disrespectful to us because it is not right, it is not right at all. So I am just appealing to the public to please, just please give us information to help this man come home back."
