He says it wasn't him - but a man accused of burglary is still in jail tonight. 29-year-old Wayne Parham was charged with 2 counts of burglary and 2 counts of handling stolen goods. But in court the defendant told Magistrate Albert Hoare that he is Owen Parham and not Wayne Parham. According to him, Wayne is already in jail.
Well tonight, Owen is there too, and they can probably discuss the mix up. Magistrate Hoare told the man calling himself Owen to provide his birth certificate and remanded him to custody until Tuesday of next week.
Wayne Parham is charged with the burglary of the home of Gregorio Castro at Vista Del Mar in September of last year. Parham was also charged with burglarizing John Lockwood's home at mile 12 and a half on the Northern Highway, also in September.
That burglary allegedly netted Parham $8,000 in jewelry, amplifiers and other items. The two counts of handling stolen goods comes after all the items - valued at $12,000 were recovered from Trinity Lending Agency located on Euphrates Avenue.
