Labor Dept. Mediates as Countdown to BTL Strike Ticks

The Belize Communications Workers Union today met with acting Labour Commissioner Adelfino Vasquez. But it was no breakthrough session. As it was accounted to us, the union informed the Labour Department in charge of its issues with BTL's management.

Moving at the speed of bureaucracy, this information will now be presented to the Minister of Labour, Francis Fonseca after which the union will again meet with the Labour Department to see how to proceed.

Meanwhile the industrial action notice ticker continues on its countdown, and it now stands at 13 days.
