In the detention cell at the court, Altreed Williams swore to his innocence claiming that he was being set up.
His mother visited our studios this evening to explain that very sentiment. Gladys Peters claims her son was at the Tourism Village working when the shooting occurred. She says he had nothing to do with the murder.

"My son was at the tourist village. That is where he goes out to hustle everyday. I don't think he will get fair justice and I will not sleep until I get justice done because I know my son is not that type. A mother knows her child and I know my child. I am telling you I know what he would do. I know for sure that he had dealings with the law concerning weed, somebody interfered with him and he did them back. He is not a murderer. But you know something, God is not sleeping and we will know who is the person who did it. But I know my son didn't do it and I will not give up. I will be down on my knees and I will pray and my God will answer my prayers."
Police are now looking for a second suspect in connection with the killing.
