Canadian Larry Yarmus has left the country. That's what police sources say about the man accused of putting an ad in the paper to hire young Belizean women as escorts for tourists.
As we reported last night, Yarmus, through a local agent, placed an ad in the paper asking for what were termed 'presentable young women.' When those young women got to the interview, they were presented with an application form that asked very lurid questions about their sex practices and preferences.
When one of the young ladies blew the whistle, he was asked to leave the Biltmore Hotel and best indications are that he hit the road too, headed north.
His local agent Jane Mercer would only tell us today that the whole thing has been blown completely out of proportion. She assured us that none of the young women's photographs will be used on the internet or for any other purpose.
She assured us that Yarmus's business in Belize is finished.
