This afternoon at 1:30, 25-year-old Andy Melendez was working at the Hamid Espat Jr. Mechanic Shop on a street in Benque Viejo Town when his ex girlfriend, walked up and shot him in the chest. Tonight, he is reported in a critical condition and has been transferred, presumably to the Western Regional Hospital.
Apparently, it was an act of extreme jealousy. Melendez had just left the woman, a 30 year old this morning. According to our information, she had gotten him from another woman and this morning he told her he was going back to that first woman. And police believe that's what provoked the murderous attack. The accused handed herself into police shortly after the shooting.
She didn't have far to walk to do it as her home is right behind the mechanic shop where he works. As we noted, he is in a critical condition and ahs been transferred out of Benque.
