He was convicted of murder on August 6th and today Justice Troadio Gonzalez sentenced Dean Hyde to life in prison. Hyde had been convicted of killing 16-year-old Dual Wagner. The murder occurred on October 9th of 2004 inside the compound of Bismark Club on Queen Charlotte Street. Deputy DPP Cheryl Lynn Branker-Taitt didn't request the death penalty so there was no need for mitigation pleas. Hyde was represented by Simeon Sampson.
