"My lil bwoy never have any kind of enemy. "

But early this morning someone killed Mark Flowers. Around 2:45 this morning Flowers was standing in front of MJ's Grand on Newtown Barracks when three men jumped out of a car and charged at him. Two of them had knives and attempted to stab him. He ran and was chased by his knife wielding attackers down Newton Barracks. They eventually caught him here in front of the Ceasar's Palace Nightclub. His attackers stabbed him once and it killed him. Leon Hamilton grew up with Mark Flowers on Perwinkle Street. Leon wasn't with mark last night but he says the Mark he knew troubled no one.

Leon Hamilton,
"All I have to say is that he wasn't a trouble maker. For him to get into trouble, somebody would have to go and trouble him because he wouldn't pick trouble just like that."

Mark Flowers drove this green taxi. It was parked on Newtown Barracks last night and all four wheels were punctured. Leon Hamilton says his friend was ambushed.

Leon Hamilton,
"What I heard went on is that they punctured the man's wheels and three men attacked him. One of his good friends tried to help but police held down the man because they were trying to help him and they chased my lil bwoy and ketch him and they did what they had to do and my lil bwoy gone for ever now."

Police have one suspect detained and they say he could be formally charged as early as tomorrow. In September of 2003, Flowers was charged along with Saul Cardona for the murder of Mark Saragoza. The charges were dropped in 2004 after witnesses refused to testify. Mark Flowers returned from the United States earlier this year and that's when he became a taxi driver.
