His brother was murdered in May of 2006 and on Friday someone tried to kill 19 year old Roy Bennett. Bennett is the younger brother of Tyrone Felix who was murdered on the morning of Mother's Day in 2006. Bennett told police that on Friday afternoon he was riding on Waight Street along with a friend when he was shot at by a man on another bike. Four shots were fired and one hit Bennett in the back. He was treated and released from the KHMH. Roy's mother is Therese Felix who became an anti-crime activist after her son Tyrone was killed. This murder attempt on another of her sons has stirred this mother's wrath.

"This crazy yes Keith, watch my hair. But anyway, like I said this is time for it to stop. They shot one in his back already and now they've shot this one in his back. If they had a hard talk, they should have said it to Roy face to face. They shouldn't have to wait until Roy turned his back.
With my son, the police went to the hospital Friday. He gave a statement and nobody has gotten arrested. They know who shot my son and Sunday morning my son opened the front gate and police ran into my yard to check to the back. Nothing is going on in the back of my yard. They saw my son sitting out there and they asked why he was there. They are harassing my children for no reason because they didn't shoot anyone. Like I said, I am peace. I am not for any retaliation.
This is simple-ness. I am hurting and then they are hurting me more. I don't want police to come harass my sons. They've already shot my son, I gave the report, so deal with the report because they know who shot my son because he told them who it was."
Police have made no arrests. The man who was charged for her son's murder - Charles Swan Jr. walked because the main witness refused to testify.
