Elton Gordon Afraid to Testify Against His Accused Shooter

On April 13th of 2006 28-year-old Elton Gordon was shot in the back. That bullet is still lodged there and he told police Ashley Hemsley was the shooter. And now almost two years his trial was supposed to start today but it didn't. That is because Gordon went on the witness stand and told Justice Troadio Gonzalez

that he doesn't want to testify against Hemsley because he is afraid for his life. Gordon is a campaigner for PUP candidate in Queen's Square Anthony Sylvestre. He told the judge he works in the street and doesn't want anyone to hurt him. Crown Counsel Joseph Carr entered a nolle pros and the judge had no choice but to send Ashley Hemsley home a free man.
