So after all this diversion, executive non-–disclosure, and corporate stealth – who’s responsible – and who will be made to face a consequence? Well, consistent with the very cautious tone he has taken since being elected, Barrow was again, circumspect.

Dean Barrow,
“The legal implications of what they did will be pronounced upon by three different lawyers that the government will ask or have already asked, in two of the three cases, for a proper legal opinion.”

Adele Ramos, Amandala Newspaper
“Who will be held culpable and when are you, your Minister of Police going to be taking some of these people who are responsible and put some fancy bangles on their wrist?”

Dean Barrow,
“Adele I clearly understand the sentiments but I will be once again as professional and as correct as I tried to be on the last occasion. The lawyers will advise us as to first of all whether criminal charges are to be filed and if so what those criminal charges would be and against whom those charges would be filed. I really don’t want to go beyond that.”

One of those opinions will be from the new Solicitor General, Tanya Longsworth Herwanger, the other from government’s legal advisor, Gian Ghandi and another from an independent lawyer who has not yet been selected.
