Belize City Police have still not found the men they say shot Delroy Matura 7 times two weeks ago. The suspects are Dylan Shera- known as Randolph Samuels and Carl Ramos, known as Biggy Smalls. But while his shooters are on the run, a case connected to the attempted murder was heard yesterday in the Magistrate’s Court.
Belize city resident nineteen year old Henry Patnett was charged for threatening words after he allegedly threatened a witness to the Matura shooting. Police say Patnett told the female witness, “you next, fifteen for you, eyewitness to dead.” Patnett who was un-represented pleaded not guilty to the charge and he was offered bail of one thousand dollars.
According to court reports the police prosecutor did not object to bail. This is even though earlier this week in a press briefing, the lead investigating officer – Sgt. Hilberto Romero – told the media that the crime of threatening witnesses is a serious offense and that the court prosecutor would be objecting to bail.
