Belize City police finally have got one of their prime suspects for the attempted murder of Delroy Matura. He has been identified as nineteen year old Carl Reneau and not Carl Ramos as they had previously stated. Reneau, an electrician of number forty four Neal’s Penn Road, lives a short distance away from where the shooting occurred inside an alley. The police would not say if the accused was found at home but they believe he was hiding somewhere in Belize City. Court reports only state that Reneau was caught on April first around one thirty that afternoon.
He has been charged for the attempted murder, use of deadly means of harm and dangerous harm. In addition Carl Reneau has also been charged for the aggravated assault upon tiffany burgess who was along with Delroy Matura when he got shot. According to court reports two men who were double riding approach Matura and Burgess. According to the burgess, Reneau who was seated on the bike handle jumped off the bike, pulled out a gun and fired several shots at them.
At court no pleas were taken but Reneau was remanded to Hattieville Prison until May sixth when he is scheduled reappear. Now the police are focusing their attention on catching the other man who has been identified as Rudolph Samuels a.k.a Dylan Sheran.
