Denver Skeet Remanded to Jail for His Own Safety

You know things are rough in the street when the court today sent a man to jail for his own protection. 25 year old Denver Skeet, a one-time shooting victim was caught yesterday with a loaded 38 revolver.

Today in court, he pleaded not guilty but confessed to Magistrate Sharon Fraser that he fears for his life because death threats have been issued against him. Skeet explained to the court that since his brother art Skeet was accused of a pair of recent murders, he has been targeted by police and on the streets.

But Skeet has his own problems in the court, where he owes a $700 fine for grievous harm. And weighing all that, Magistrate Fraser told him that he will be safer in jail, and remanded him until May 19th.
