He’s a manager at the Las Vegas Casino in the Free Zone and yesterday 44 year old American national Mark Anthony Del Dosque received a package allegedly from the real Las Vegas in Nevada. Police say that package contained 8.9 grams of suspected cannabis. He appeared in court today and pleaded guilty to drug possession.
The cannabis was hidden inside a white sock in a manila envelope. It was in a plastic bag in a ziploc bag. When the package arrived – personnel at the post office in Corozal became suspicious and called police. Police advised them to call Del Dosque to collect his package. That’s what they did and when he collected the package – he was arrested. He told them the package came from Las Vegas. We were unable to verify that.
He was fined $2,000 plus $5 for court cost which he had to pay immediately or face a year in jail.
