A mother of two children form Hattieville Village is out on bail tonight after police say she left her small children at home alone. 26 year old Shatisha Arnold was charged with one count of child abandonment.
Yesterday afternoon, police received a call which told them to go and check her home. They found two children, one 1 year old and the other three, all alone. Police suspect that they had not been fed for the day. But their mother, Shatisha Arnold was not around; police had to search for an hour to find her at another home in the village.
In court this morning in front of Magistrate Aretha Ford, the mother pleaded not guilty and was offered bail of $2,500 which she met.
