On Thursday morning well known belize city figure thirty year old Stackle Monsanto was shot by police after Police Constable Stephen Peters tried to recover a bicycle Monsanto had allegedly stolen only a few minutes earlier from a fruit vendor.
Monsanto reportedly threw the bike when ordered to stop. P. C. Peters responded by firing his issued service nine millimeter pistol.
Monsanto was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial where he remained hospitalized under police guard. He would have recovered from the bullet wound he received to the left side of his buttocks and then he would have been charged for the crime he had committed.
Sounds simple and straight forward right? But when dealing with Stackle Monsanto, expect anything to happen and it did this morning at the KHMH.
It seems like Monsanto had no intention of going along with the police plan of action. Sometime this morning he seem to have miraculously recovered and slipped away. That’s right. Stackle Monsanto managed to escape from the KHMH and tonight remains at large.
How did it happen? We are not sure but one thing we do know is that the police man who was supposed to have been guarding Monsanto is in a whole heap of trouble.
If and when Stackle Monsanto is found he will be charged for the robbery of the bicycle, aggravated assualt on Constable Stephen Peters and now for escape.
