Three months after thirty one year old Mark Thompson Jr. better known as Quincy was shot and murdered on Partridge Street, today a sixteen year old is believed to be the killer. Because of his age we are unable to release his name but the minor was taken over to Family Court where he was arraigned on a single charge of murder. The teenager is believed to be the young man who was seen quickly leaving the crime scene, an apartment building on Partridge Street, shortly after a gun shot rang out.
But why would a sixteen year old kill a thirty one year old whom many say was a hardworking man? Well investigations reveal that Thompson may have been killed because he simply came to the aid of a next door female tenant. Thompson heard his neighbor Margaret Flowers cry out for help when a young man broke into her apartment and tried to steal her cell phone. Thompson went to Flower’s room to help, recognized the trespasser and tried to talk to him. But things got heated and the gunman shot Thompson fatally.
The sixteen year old suspect has been remanded to Hattieville Prison and he is scheduled to reappear in Family Court on July fourth.
