A Belize City family is concerned tonight for the well-being of their loved one. He is 22 year old Armick Escobar from Cleghorn Street. He left home last Tuesday night and hasn’t been heard from or seen since. A missing persons report was filed on Saturday – but still nothing. It’s been almost a week and concern is turning into terror for his family. Colin Gill is a relative and today told us the story.
Colin Gill, Family Member
“Armick has last been seen by the family on Tuesday July 15th when he was picked up by friends in a grey Nissan Pathfinder. This occurred between the hours of 6 and 7 pm. Since then Armick has not been heard from.”
Jules Vasquez,
What are the family’s greatest concerns right now? Yes he is gone but sometimes you have people, young people, who may go for days at a time.
Colin Gill,
“The family at this time is trying to keep hope alive. The family believes that Armick may be somewhere with friends and on the other hand the family is trying desperately not to get to the level of thinking that he may be dead.”
Jules Vasquez,
Now he was the victim of some violent crime some weeks ago, do they think that these two things may be related?
Colin Gill,
“The family at this time does not believe that the situations are related but the family is urging the public that if they have any information whatsoever to please contact the Police Department or the family at the numbers posted on the flyers.”
Police have questioned the young man who he left home with on July 15th and that didn’t turn up any productive leads.
