Twenty two year old Armick Escobar went missing fifteen days ago and tonight there is still no word on his whereabouts. But human remains were found over the weekend in an Orange Walk District cane field. Tellingly, there are similarities in the clothing that was found with the body and the clothes that Armick Escobar was last seen wearing. That’s why his family traveled to Orange Walk today to determine if the remains were his. But there was nothing

to see, because the remains were buried on site due to the state of decomposition. However, police tell 7NEWS that the family examined photographs of the clothing and personal effects like a key found among the remains. Police say they could not identify any of the items and do not believe that it is their loved one.
So where is Armick Escobar? On Monday, the police told the media that they have no leads in the case and that they have since interviewed the last person, a friend, who had picked him up that Tuesday night in a grey Nissan Pathfinder.
Sr. Supt. David Henderson, Commander – Eastern Division
“We still haven’t had any update on him. The police are still there checking but we haven’t had any further information on him. We have the missing persons report. All formations have been informed. We’re making inquiries as to if anybody could assist us with his whereabouts but so far we haven’t gotten any further information.”
Armick Escobar was last seen wearing a grey and white polo shirt with a three quarter grey Dickie’s pants and pair of black and green Jordan tennis shoes. A little over a month ago, Armick Escobar was robbed at Salt Creek Range when he went to purchase a vehicle. At the time Escobar said his attackers stole six thousand dollars from him. The family at this time does not believe that the situations are related. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Armick Escobar you are asked to call either 600–0806 or 668–6013.
