Toyota Hilux Flips on Southern Highway

And there was another serious accident this weekend. After 1:00 on Saturday morning, police were called out to an accident scene near Golden Stream Village between mile 67 and 68 on the Southern Highway.

A traffic warden from Dangriga 25 year old Andrew Diego was driving a Toyota Hilux government vehicle with 32 year old Anita Coc in the passenger seat when he lost control and flipped several times. The pair were trapped inside, but villagers managed to get them out. Diego had injuries while Coc received only minor injuries to her hand.

Both were hospitalised in Punta Gorda, but Diego was in a critical condition and had to be transferred to the Southern Regional Hospital.
