He doesn’t even have a police record but 18 year old Ryan Alvarez says over the weekend police picked him up and brutalized him. Alvarez was detained on Friday night and he was held until Monday. During that time, he was severely beaten and left black and blue. He came to our studio yesterday to show us his injuries. He described his ordeal off camera.

“The man they just detained me on Friday night on a robbery, saying it was me and they locked me down until Sunday night. They took me upstairs at CIU and they just beat me down with a club, bruk up the club on me and bruise up my skin, bust up my skin for nothing.”

When did they release you?
Ryan Alvarez,
“Last night after I went to hospital.”

Did they charge you with anything?
Ryan Alvarez,
“No sir.”

Any idea why they picked you up or beat you?
Ryan Alvarez,
“No.”
Keith Swift,
And are you somebody always in trouble with the law?
Ryan Alvarez,
“No sometimes they pick me up a little p.i. robbery and thing and thing but I not a trouble man like that. I just want them to charge them because they have already bust up my skin and bruised me up. I am in pain right now.”

“My two knee, my hip, and my two hands are hurting me right now and my back.”
Ryan Alvarez came here with his mother. They plan to file a formal complaint with internal affairs.
