Tonight we have a disturbing report of sexual abuse from deep within the Toledo District. A government primary school teacher has been arrested and charged after one of his own students told police that the man has been having sex with her for sometime. According to the thirteen year old girl the first time she was with teacher Sylvestre Coy was in November when he took her to his residence situated on the school compound where they had sex.
But that would not be their last encounter. On Tuesday, the thirteen year old who resides in the remote southern village of Machakilha then told authorities that eight months later they had sex repeatedly between June and September. The minor who was in the company of her grandmother told police that teacher Sylvester Coy sometimes had sex with her in bushes adjoining the school.
It is not certain what made the thirteen year old finally go to the police but following her report the cops wasted no time in locating twenty four year old teacher Sylvestre Coy, a resident of Dolores Village. While the child’s report suggests that the student and teacher had sexual intercourse several times Sylvester Coy was charged with only two counts of carnal knowledge. Four days after he was arrested and charged, tonight teacher Sylvester Coy is behind bars on remand at the Hattieville Prison.
