Thanks to the help of an area resident, police have recovered the lever from the grenade that was detonated in a yard 10 days ago. The resident told police that they were cleaning out the yard on Saturday when they found the lever wedged between the fence.

Police have handed it over to the BDF Explosives Team and information to us is that it bears resemblance to the l10-9a1 Grenade which was thrown in front of the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital on carnival day. As you will recall, that one did not explode.

But this one did, and police are looking at where it was found while the explosives experts are seeing how closely it matches the last one which was traced back to the British Army Training Support Unit in Ladyville.
