Police say they have detained the man who shot and killed Jermaine Trapp on Christmas night and critically wounded 18 year old Cameron Blease. The alleged shooter is Shakeel Jones – known as Gapo. Police say they have captured him but he still hasn’t formally been charged.
It is alleged that an armed Shakeel Jones was chasing Cameron Blease. Jermaine Trapp just happened to be passing in his blue Toyota Camry at the time and he jumped in. Trapp drove contrary to the flow of traffic into the Princess Hotel and Casino compound and Jones followed. Several shots were fired – one of which hit Trapp in the head. He died 24 hours later at the KHMH. Cameron was hit in the chest and he is still hospitalized at the KHMH in an induced a coma. He has already lost one lung and is on life support.
